Moola 4 Books: Book Condition Guideline

Moola 4 Books reserves the right to determine item condition upon receipt in our warehouse and to take price deductions or discard of accordingly. Our condition requirements include, but are not limited to, the following: Books will NOT be accepted with any of the following conditions:

Tears to the cover or pages.
Major wear to the binding.
Missing or loose pages.
Water, moisture damage, mold, or stains.
Fire or smoke damage.
Strong odor of any kind (including cigarette odor).

A small amount of writing, underlining or highlighting of pages is usually okay, as long as it appears to be on fewer than 20% of the book's pages. However, workbooks, lab manuals, study guides, and books with practice tests will not be accepted if they contain any writing.

If a textbook originally came with a CD or DVD, the original CD/DVD must accompany the book when shipped to us.

Any and all CD/DVDs must be in working condition, uninstalled, and unregistered from all computers.

Types of items Moola 4 Books will NOT accept and may discard*:

Advance reading copies, uncorrected proofs, and/or promotional or "screener" copies of books.
Books that state "review copy", "free copy", "not for resale" (or "not for sale") anywhere on the cover or inside.
Teacher's or Instructor's editions.
Solutions manuals.
International edition textbooks (standard U.S. editions only).
One-time use subscription/registration based software/online course materials.
Partial sets (ie, only sending volume 1 of a 2 volume set).
Pornography or otherwise offensive and explicit material.
Ex-library books.
Items with no ISBN printed anywhere on or inside the item.
Calendars
Custom edition textbooks (textbooks printed up specially for one school)

If a book originally came with a dust jacket, CD or DVD, it must accompany the book when shipped to us or the quoted price may be reduced.

Other conditions that may result in a reduction of the quoted price:

Excessive writing, underlining, and/or highlighting
Remainder marks on page edges (publisher's overstock)
Missing Dust Jackets

Moola 4 Books reserves the right to determine item condition upon receipt in our warehouse. Items not accepted by Moola 4 Books will only be shipped back to the Seller at the Seller's expense. Items not accepted will be held for 30 days; after that time, these items will be recycled or donated at our discretion. Please see our condition requirements for more details.

Common Questions:

Do my books have to be in a certain condition?
YES. Your items must be in standard good used condition or better.

When your package arrives, our inspectors review the items for the following:

Water or Moisture Damage
Pages Stuck Together
Torn / Loose / Taped/ Missing pages
Torn / Missing (Including Dust Jacket)/ Cut Cover
Torn / Loose / Broken Binding
Odor (smoke(Cigarrete), mildew, etc.)
Fire or smoke damage
Excessive Highlighting / Writing
Book Club copy of the Retail Version (Typically Smaller)
Correct Title / Edition/ ISBN

Books will not be accepted with any of the following:

Do you buy ex-library books?
No.

Does Moola 4 Books buy Magazines, Comic Books or Book Club Editions?
No.

My book does not have any ISBN, now what?
We do not purchase books without an ISBN. Our database system is simply not equipped to read them.
