The Moola 4 Books process approximately takes around 15 days from the time you mail your package until your payment is issued. Although Moola 4 Books can not control how long the Post Office takes to deliver shipments, you can be rest assured that your business transaction is safe. We attempt to keep you informed every step of the way through the process. Our system delivers automated emails at critical times as the process moves forward, informing you of the status of your order. Provided that while Moola 4 Books does provide for FREE SHIPPING, there is always a chance the Post Office will damage or lose your shipment. Please pack your items carefully and add optional postal insurance or delivery confirmation to your package to prevent against loss or damage.

PLACING YOUR ORDER

What is an ISBN number?

An ISBN is a 10 or 13 digit number that can be found on the back cover or inside the front cover of almost all books. You may enter the ISBN with or without the dashes, and don't leave off the leading zeros. Sometimes an ISBN can end with an X. Moola 4 Books will accept either the 10-digit or the 13-digit ISBN.

Where do I find a book's ISBN number?

The ISBN is typically found on the back cover, immediately above the barcode.

If you cannot locate your book's ISBN on the backside of the book, open the front cover and look on the page immediately following the title page. This is the copyright page and will include information about the copyright date, the author, and publisher. The ISBN is a 10 or 13 digit number, and it should be in the middle or at the bottom of that page. If the book is pre-1980s, then it may not have an ISBN.

What types of books are you buying?

Moola 4 Books buys a wide variety of books. However, most of the books we purchase have a publication date of 2005 or newer. Books we buy change day by day or week by week depending on current resale values, our current inventory, market demand, and other various factors. Do my books have to be in a certain condition?

YES. Your items must be in standard good used condition or better.

When your package arrives, our inspectors review the items for the following:

  • Water or Moisture Damage
  • Pages Stuck Together
  • Torn / Loose / Taped/ Missing pages
  • Torn / Missing (Including Dust Jacket)/ Cut Cover
  • Torn / Loose / Broken Binding
  • Odor (smoke(Cigarrete), mildew, etc.)
  • Fire or smoke damage
  • Excessive Highlighting / Writing
  • Book Club copy of the Retail Version (Typically Smaller)
  • Correct Title / Edition/ ISBN

Books will not be accepted with any of the following :

  • Major wear to the binding
  • Tears to the cover or pages
  • Missing pages
  • Fire or smoke damage
  • Strong odor of any kind (including cigarette odor)
  • Water, moisture damage, or mold
  • Workbooks or manuals with writing in them

If a book originally came with a dust jacket, CD or DVD, it must accompany the book when shipped to us or the quoted price may be reduced.

  • Other conditions that may result in a reduction of the quoted price:
  • Excessive writing, underlining, and/or highlighting
  • Remainder marks on page edges (publisher's overstock)
  • Missing Dust Jackets

Moola 4 Books reserves the right to determine item condition upon receipt in our warehouse. Items not accepted by Moola 4 Books will only be shipped back to the Seller at the Seller's expense. Items not accepted will be held for 30 days; after that time, these items will be recycled or donated at our discretion. Please see our condition requirements for more details.

Do you buy ex-library books?

No.

Does Moola 4 Books buy Magazines, Comic Books or Book Club Editions?

No.

My book does not have any ISBN, now what?

We do not purchase books without an ISBN. Our database system is simply not equipped to read them.

How about old books, does Moola 4 Books buy old books?

We do not purchase books without an ISBN. If you have older books you feel are valuable we recomend you to contact a reputable antiquarian dealer to determine their value. These types of appraisals are best done (locally) in person with the items in question. It is always a good idea to ask for references first when dealing with any type of appraisal service.

Are there any hidden costs or fees associated with this site?

No hidden costs! The only cost you might have to bear out of your own pocket is if you choose to insure your shipment or add delivery confirmation to it prior to shipping. This is not mandatory but it is something we recommend.

I have a large collection of books. Will you make an offer for them?

Our system will only make you an offer on each individual ISBN entered

Why can't I check out?

You must have a minimum of 5 books or $8.00 of value or more in your buy back cart to complete an order. Moola 4 Books has placed this minimum to help meet future expectations of service for our customers.

Moola 4 Books only collects personal information that is needed for us to serve you. This information is critical when it comes to making this transaction smooth as it relates to payments.

Payments by Check: Name and Address is needed

Payments by PayPal: Email address is needed

Moola 4 Books does not disclose, discuss, sell, or share any of your personal information with third parties. You will never disclose your Social Security, Drivers license # or any other critical data with Moola 4 Books. All we need to know is your name and the mailing/or email address to send your payment to.

I have more than one copy of a title, will you buy multiple copies?

If you have multiple copies of a title that you are interested in selling, we encourage you to do so. Every title that you get an offer on differs in the quantity we will accept. There is a "Quantity" drop down field on every offer. This menu is where you can choose to send us up to 50 of one title. If the menu only offers the choice of (1), this means we are only accepting one copy of that title. Please do not create multiple orders to send us more than one copy of a title we are only purchasing 1 copy of. We reserve the right to refuse the extra orders.

SHIPPING YOUR ORDER

I can't get the packing slip to print! ?

If you don't own a printer, or your printer is broken you can do one of the following:.

  • Forward the email receipt to a friend who has a printer. Use that email as a substitute packing slip, also it has a link to the shipping label.
  • You could access your account, your packing slip and mailing label from another computer with a printer.
  • As a last resort ship without the packing slip. Be sure to included your name clearly inside the box. Simply address your package to:

Take your package to the post office and pay postage yourself. Please note you must ship as MEDIA MAIL, it is the only rate for which we will reimburse.

I forgot to ship my books within the 5 day time frame. Can I still send them?

In most cases this should not be a problem, we do although ask you to contact Moola 4 Books if you are more than 6 days outside of the time frame. As a gesture simply email us, making us aware that you are still sending your order. This is due to you running the risk of having your order adjusted due to database changes. Please note: If you send an order outside of the 5 day time frame your order could be adjusted.

Remember the quicker you get your items safely shipped to us, the faster we can pay you your Moola.

I decided to not send a book, how do I remove it from the order?

In this case, draw a line through the title that you decided not to sell on the packing slip. Our inspectors will mark it as missing from the order and your payment will be adjusted. Currently there is no way to edit your order on a per item basis once it is complete.

The shipping label will not print for me?

1. You can access the shipping label from within your account by shipping label.

2. Our system sends you an automated email once your order is created. You can find a link within this email to print your free shipping label.

Is the shipping really free?

Moola 4 Books provides 100% free USPS mailing labels, and 100% free FedEx shipping for orders valued at $40.00 or more

All Moola 4 Book orders qualify for 100% free shipping when you use our pre-paid USPS shipping label, or FedEx RMA. If you choose the Post Office (USPS) we recommend that you purchase optional delivery confirmation or insurance from your local post office to protect your items. Please take all provided paperwork to the USPS or FedEX when shipping.

I want my books to get there faster. Can I ship them UPS or FedEx?

FedEX: We provide free FedEx shipping for all orders totaling $40.00 or more in value.

UPS: Yes. Although we will only reimburse you a portion of that cost. We will reimburse you the amount that your package would have cost, had you used our pre-paid label. Our reimbursement will match the current USPS Media Mail rate (Notice 123-2010) for the weight of your package. Simply create an order print out our packing slip and send your books.We will automatically do a partial reimbursement for every customer who ships us books in this method.

I am sending a lot of books. They won't fit in one box. Now what?

Please take a few minutes to properly package your shipment.

The maximum weight per package should not exceed 70lbs.

If you have 70lbs of books divide it up into two boxes and print two shipping labels, even 3 boxes would be acceptable. However, we don't want to see 70lbs of books divided up into 5 boxes or anything too silly. This is a sure fire way to have your books returned with postage due and your account banned.

How much can I put in a box?

You can put as much as you like in a box. However the postal regulations will not allow a package using our label that weighs more than 70lbs.

Can I add additional books to my order after it is complete?

There is currently no way to add a book to an order that is already created. In this case just create another order, then simply ship them together in the same box.

If the item you want to add will not get you past the minimum requirement, we suggest you simply print the offer screen of the item/s you want to add and include that printout with your packing slip and the order you are sending.

TRANSIT

How long does it take for my shipment to arrive?

Inbound shipping to us normally averages aroundt 7-11 business days. This number does not include shipment from Hawaii, Alaska or APO's. Shipping times from these locations may take up to 21 days or more.

When we receive your shipment you will be sent an automated email from us.

Can you track my shipment and see where it is?

There are two free shipping methods available, FedEx (Orders of $40+), and USPS is available to all order sizes.

FedEX: Yes, we can track your shipment once it is scanned at your local FedEx drop-off location. You can track your shipment too! To track your FedEx shipment simply log-in to your account, select the order, and view the tracking information provided live by FedEx.

USPS: No. Our free service only pays for the shipping costs. If you want to track your shipment you will need to purchase delivery confirmation at your local post office. Statistics show that packages with added Delivery Confirmation are at greatly reduced chance to go missing, and even statistically lowers the damage to boxes. The post office takes much greater care of packages with Delivery Confirmation compared to those without.

What is media mail?

Media Mail is a cost efficient way to send books and other media through the USPS system. The maximum weight of a Media Mail package is 70 lbs. A Media Mail package can only measure at 108 inches combined width and length.

My order "status" has not changed, what's going on?

Moola 4 Books automated system has different statuses for an order to pass through.

As your order passes through the system your order will be indicated as follows:

  • "Pending" - Your order has been successfully created and our system is awaiting arrival of your shipment.
  • "Received" - We have received your shipment and it ready to be inspected for accuracy and condition.
  • "Adjustment" - Email is only sent if there is a problem with your shipment. (EX:... damaged/missing books or books that don't pass our guideline)
  • "Paid" - This email is usually sent within a day after being "Received" (excluding Sat. & Sun). This means your check or your PayPal payment has been sent.
  • "Canceled" - This rare status is reserved for orders where the customer has informed us that they wish to cancel their order. Or when an *order goes missing in the mail. *(Remember that Moola 4 Books strongly recommends that you purchase a delivery confirmation number from the post office!)

If you are not receiving your automated emails we suggest you check your email settings to verify you are not filtering any email from the domain name http://www.moola4books.com.

RECEIVING

I got an email referring to an adjustment to my order number. What does this mean?

After we receive your shipment our insectors verify accuracy and condition guidelines. If you receive an email like this it means that one or more of your items do not meet our guidelines for some reason, or an item was missing from the package. The email will detail the reason.

PAYMENT

How long until my payment is issued now that you have the books?

All payments are normally made within 1 Business Day of inspecting your shipment, except on Sat. & Sun.

My check has not shown up yet. How long do I have to wait?

All checks are mailed via USPS First Class Mail, on average it takes 2-4 business days for checks to arrive. Please be sure that the address you submitted during registration is accurate. You are responsible for the accuracy of this information. Remember that PayPal is faster, more secure, and traceable. This payment method may work better for you.

I received my payment but the amount is different than what I was quoted. What's going on?

Most likely one of your items did not meet our condition guidelines, so your payment was adjusted. We send an email to each customer who has an item with a problem. This email will have indicated the details of your adjustment.

I got an email saying my order "status" was changed to Paid. Where is my payment?

This status indicates that your order has been paid. This means your check has been issued and is ready to be mailed or your PayPal payment has been submitted. Checks on average take 2-4 business days. PayPal is much faster, sometimes you will receive an email from PayPal before you get our automated email of the status change.
